Reconnect with Food Ò Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are a continuation of our PHP or other intervention/care program, reinforcing skills and concepts. It may be possible to enter this program directly if transitioning from a reputable PHP at another facility. An IOP may fall under your outpatient mental healthcare insurance benefits.
Initial Interview
Prior to acceptance into the IOP, if you are not transitioning from our own PHP, potential participants are to complete a health questionnaire regarding current health status, eating disorder/addiction involvement, family history, emotional health and commitment to the intensive program. This questionnaire will help us work with you more effectively in our program.
If you are an appropriate fit, the following assessments will be scheduled for program clearance prior to the start of the program: - Medical examination by our internist.
- Psychiatric assessment and consultation by our psychiatrist (medical director).
- Psychological assessment by one of our licensed mental health practitioners.
- Nutrition assessment by our registered dietitian.
- Nursing assessment by our registered nurse in some cases.
These outpatient assessments and consultations, prior to entering our IOP from outside of our facility are charged/billed separately from our facility rate below. In addition, application fee may apply. These services may or may not be covered by your insurance based on your individual plan. If they are not covered, they will be your responsibility. In some cases, you may be recommended for another level of care inside or outside of the program.
Once admitted into the program, your commitment in this program is for a minimum of seven (7) consecutive weeks or as long as it takes you to achieve your treatment goals. It is billed at $300 per day and may be covered by your health plan. If you are not making scheduled progress in this program, based on your treatment plan, a higher level of care may be recommended inside or outside of our facility.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is 5 days per week, 3 1/2 hours per day.
Although you may have a treatment team, your involvement with our treatment team in our program is required for continuity and comprehensive care along with requirements by state licensing, your health insurance plan and national regulatory agencies. You will be referred back to your referring treatment team following discharge from our program, and your team will be constantly in the loop of your treatment, can case conference with our staff and can visit our program at any time while you are with us.
